The result stays precise because the search fence stays narrow.

From and Where now live directly in the first viewport.
The hero table is populated from real destination-to-station matches.
Verified examples
What Mapify returns when the destination is obvious but the station is not.
These are real examples checked against the current station dataset in this project.
Live answer
The first useful answer, not a wall of map clutter.
Pick a destination and Mapify surfaces the nearest station first, then shows you the nearby alternatives without pretending the ranking is route-aware.
Before you search
Mapify is best when the destination is clearer than the metro map.
Where it works best
Built for the way Delhi destinations are actually asked for.
The product is sharpest when people know where they are going, but not which station gets them closest.
Landmarks
India Gate, Pragati Maidan, Dilli Haat INA, museums and monuments where people know the destination but not the station.
Neighborhoods
Hauz Khas, Saket, Rajouri Garden, Lajpat Nagar and the rest of Delhi where place names are more natural than line maps.
Campuses
AIIMS, IIT Delhi, university blocks and institutional complexes where the nearest stop matters more than the line color.
Airports & Hubs
IGI Airport, New Delhi Railway Station and major interchange zones where fast orientation matters before the trip even starts.
Common Delhi asks
The question usually sounds like a place. The answer should sound like a station.
“Closest metro to Connaught Place?”
Rajiv Chowk
288 m in the checked-in station dataset.
“What station for Dilli Haat INA?”
Dilli Haat - INA
144 m from the landmark in the current build.
“Nearest metro to T3 Airport?”
IGI Airport
Airport Express access point in the dataset.
Built with
An open-data stack that stays honest about what it knows.
Questions answered
The product is simple, so the page should answer simple questions quickly.
Is Mapify only for Delhi?
Yes. The website fences search and nearest-station results to Delhi so the answer stays sharp instead of pretending to support everywhere.
How is the nearest station chosen?
Mapify scores every checked-in Delhi Metro station by straight-line Haversine distance from your selected destination, then returns the closest result plus nearby alternatives.
Is the walking time exact?
No. It is a quick estimate derived from distance. The page keeps that explicit because this product is for fast orientation, not turn-by-turn walking navigation.
Can I use my current location?
Yes. If your browser allows location access, Mapify can fill the starting point with your current position and label it through reverse geocoding.
Where does the station data come from?
The station list is generated from OpenStreetMap via Overpass and stored locally in the project so ranking is fast and reproducible.
